Our story
Burton Builders was co-founded in 2018 by Gabriel Alvarez and Daniel Burton, who met studying Construction Management at Sacramento State University.
Before starting the company, we'd spent years on large multifamily and student-housing projects across the Bay Area — Gabriel on operations, Daniel running crews as superintendent. We kept seeing the same gap: quality work and clear communication rarely came from the same contractor. Burton Builders is our answer to that.
Today we're a Richmond-based general contractor working on ADUs, whole-home remodels and additions, multifamily, and commercial tenant improvements. We're licensed (CSLB #1042450) and carry commercial general liability and workers' compensation insurance. Most of our work comes by referral.
