Marin is just across the Richmond–San Rafael Bridge from our office, and it shows in the portfolio: San Rafael is one of our most-built cities, with additional ADUs and remodels in San Anselmo, Mill Valley, Larkspur, Fairfax, and Novato.

Building in Marin has its own character — hillside and downslope lots, wildfire-zone requirements, and design review that takes the look of a home seriously. Most of the projects below are ADUs shaped around exactly those constraints: units stepped into slopes, tucked under existing homes, or detailed to match the main house so they clear review without a fight.
